Services
Ferrin Taxidermy provides bird taxidermy services including mounting, restoration, and habitat creation. All work is performed to the highest professional standards.
Deposits & Payment
A deposit may be required to begin work on your project. Final payment is due upon completion and before pickup or shipping of your mount. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards.
Turnaround Time
Standard turnaround time varies based on current workload and complexity of the project. Rush services may be available for an additional fee. Estimated completion dates will be provided when you drop off your bird.
Specimen Condition
The quality of the finished mount depends significantly on the condition of the specimen when received. We are not responsible for issues arising from improper field care, freezer burn, or damage that occurred before the bird reached our shop. Please follow our preparation and shipping guidelines for best results.
Legal Requirements
Customers are responsible for ensuring all birds are legally harvested and properly documented according to federal and state regulations. We may refuse to accept specimens that lack proper documentation.
Pickup & Storage
Completed mounts should be picked up within 30 days of notification. Storage fees may apply for mounts not picked up within 90 days. We are not responsible for mounts left unclaimed for more than one year.

We take pride in our work and want you to be completely satisfied. If you have concerns about your mount, please contact us and we will work to address them.
